We are delighted to share our Prospectus for courses starting in the academic year 2023/24 as well as our Application form for students.
You can use this online form to share details about prospective students or contact us for a copy of the prospectus.
If you have students already registered with us who wish to request library support, please use this online form.
You are probably already familiar with options for distance learning via the Prisoners’ Education Trust or the Open University. What we are offering is similar, but with a few key differences. We are developing a new guide to explain how it all works, in collaboration with some of the expert Distance Learning Co-ordinators that we have worked with over the last few years.
Students have a choice of which university to study with - and we can help them to choose the right one.
Students will still pay their tuition fees via student loan – and we can help with the applications.
Course materials are made available in digital format rather than in printed packs. We are also using the secure chromebooks provided by Coracle Inside which are now available in over 80 prisons across England and Wales. Please speak to your Learning and Skills Manager about whether your prison already has a contract with Coracle.
Students receive tutorial support via telephone using our freephone number at agreed appointment times.
Additional study skills sessions are provided as needed.
We have a strong focus on Through the Gate support and we provide :
- Digital literacy training sessions to prepare students for university study online when they are released
- Peer mentoring for all released students
- Help to attend the university campus to finish their studies when people are released
- Support with finding a good job, via our partner recruitment agency.
To find out more information or to make a referral use our online form or give us a call.
We can also offer digital skills training sessions in your prison, so let us know if you are interested.
