You can’t get through the day without digital connections, so Essential Digital Skills are a key element of successful release from prison.

We understand that when you are finishing a prison sentence you will need some support and training to be able to handle everyday digital encounters. And for university students it is really important that you are able to use the online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to keep up with your studies, use the online library and collaborate with others on your course.

We offer Essential Digital Skills training before people leave prison, as well as after they are released, using the resources from the Education and Training Foundation, to make sure our students have the confidence to study successfully and securely in a digital world.

If you are recently released and need support to develop your digital skills, please seek a referral for our Peer Mentor support via your probation officer. More details on our Students Leaving Prison page.
